Not only the printing of the machine-readable lines and the visual zones are of top quality but there is also the impressive colour photograph printing. This is achieved by the high performance of the print head which has a resolution of 1200 x 600 dpi (dots per inch). Two parallel installed print heads manage the job – colour print head DC-91 for the photograph and black print head DC-90 for the machine readable print. DILETTA 440i sets the professional standard for colour printing in the passport issuing office.The 7 colour print performed by DILETTA 400i series The print head DC-94 UVplus contains six colors: The basic colours are cyan, magenta, yellow and additionally three invisible UV-colors plus black from DC-90 print head. Photograph print head DC-92 contains six colours: The basic colours are cyan, magenta, yellow and additionally photocyan, photomagenta, photoyellow plus black from DC-90 print head. This multi colour brilliance with 9 shades per each basic colour truly reproduces the original photograph. Plenty of ink available. DILETTA 440i cares for the needs of a busy issuing office. The specially developed ink tank DC-90 (black) can be exchanged easily independant of the colour tanks DC-91 and DC-92. The Ethernet Adapter is the easy way of connecting a DILETTA 440i printer to an Ethernet network. Instead of attaching your printer locally to the PC, use the Ethernet Adapter and free computing resources. Available Cartridges
The cartridges' capacity The ink tank and the ink cartridge of the DC-90 build one unit, so you need to replace the whole cartridge once the ink is empty. The ink tank of the DC-91, DC-92, DC-93 and DC-94 can be changed separately, so you do not have to change the whole cartridge. You can use the print head up to five times. The mentioned capacities are only valid for passport mass-production. The capacitiy of passports per cartridges in embassies or small passport offices is maybe 1/10 depending on printed passports per day, cleaning procedures of print heads, etc.
